Title: Pulmonary hypertension manifesting a decade later in a patient with extrahepatic portal hypertension and splenic arterial aneurysms
Abstract: Pulmonary hypertension develops in approximately 2% of patients with portal hypertension [1] and is termed portopulmonary hypertension. (PPHTN). Pulmonary hypertension has been reported in patients with hepatic as well as non-hepatic portal hypertension and so the common factor that determines its development must be portal hypertension. Here we report a female who presented with severe pulmonary hypertension a decade after she was diagnosed with extrahepatic portal hypertension.
