Title: First Occurrence of the Brook Silverside, Labidesthes sicculus, in a Tributary of Lake Superior
Abstract: On June 4, 1974, three brook silversides, Labidesthes sicculus, were collected by electrofishing near the mouth of the Dead River, a tributary of Lake Superior at Marquette, Michigan. This is the first record of the species in the Lake Superior watershed and it may be that the species has only recently established itself in the area.
