Title: Muscid Fly Predation by Vespula germanica (Hymenoptera: Vespidae)
Abstract: Vespid wasp predation of muscid flies on livestock is reported. Vespula germanica (Fabricius) was the dominant predator, representing 80% of wasps captured with fly prey in August and September, 1975. Stable flies and face flies were the primary prey. The possible significance of this relationship is discussed.
