Title: THE SYNTHESIS OF THE CHELATING ION-EXCHANGE RESINS BASED ON THE POLYAMINE-POLYUREA RESIN AND THEIR HEAVY METAL ION ADSORPTION CHARACTERISTICS
Abstract: The poly(ethylenimine)-polymethylenepolyphenylene isocyanate(polyamine-polyurea resin) backbone chelating ion-exchange resins were prepared from the condensation reaction between the polyamine-polyurea resin and some organic acids, These resins were identified with FT-IR, elemental analysis and DSC (differential scanning calorimetey), The adsorption characteristics of some heavy metal ions on the resins were studied with measuring the effect of pH for the adsorption percentage and adsorption capacities on the optimum pH. Preconcentrations of the heavy metal ions on the resins in the presence of high concentration of salt were also studied.
