Title: Agricultural productivity growth and technology progress in developing countries: case study in China
Abstract: The goal of this investigation was to analyze the impact of some variables of production(input) on agricultural productivity growth (output) in China over the period 1989-2002. To this aim, Cobb-Douglas function has been used. The methodology used in this study is correct and the resulting conclusion is that labor, capital and land significantly affect agricultural productivity growth. However, while capital influences agricultural productivity growth positively, labor and land have a negative effect on agricultural productivity growth.Keywords: agriculture, productivity growth, China, technologyInternational Journal of Agricultural and Rural Development Vol. 5 2004: 101-109
