The electron spin echo (ESE) registration of EPR spectra allows to study the role of oxygen in the appearance of trapped paramagnetic centres in cis- and trans-rich polyacetylene. Using pulsed saturation transfer experiments considerably different spectral diffusion within the spectra of the trapped centres may be detected for pure and oxidized samples. The existence of two types of paramagnetic centres in the EPR spectra of polyacetylene is confirmed by EPR line-shape simulations. References 1 N. S. Shiren, Y. Tomkiewicz, T. G. Kazyaka, A. R.
