In this study different scaling functi...The estimation of normalized structure factors depends both on the method used to scale measured intensities and on the expectation values for those intensities. In this study different scaling functions are examined with respect to the 'true' normalized structure factors calculated for a range of refined crystal structures. The exponential scale k exp (Bs2), which includes an overall rescale factor, combined with the random-atom expectation value, is shown to provide the most reliable triplet and quartet structure-invariant relationships.Read More
