Abstract: A description is given of a modified approach to operative and T-tube cholangiography based upon the use of the enzyme hyaluronidase combined with low pressures of contrast introduction. The results of cholangiography in 83 cases where this approach was employed are compared with 200 cases in which syringe injection of contrast medium was carried out. The more important advantages of the modified technique have been complete outlining of the ducts in the left lobe of the liver, continuous filling of the duodenal loop, and filling of the common bile duct and perivaterian diverticula in synchrony.
