Based on the hypothesis that the electoral process has been through a 'silent' reengineering phase, we present the process reengineering concepts that can be used to depict the redesign of the electoral process to an e-electoral process through the use of ICTs. After reviewing existing business process reengineering (BPR) methodologies, the use of BPR in government provided services and existing electoral process arrangements, we provide a five-stage outline of the suggested reengineering methodology.
