Title: Research on Kinetics and Thermodynamic Adsorption Cr(VI) from Wastewater by Sawdust
Abstract: In the dissertation, the treatment of chromium containing wastewater using sawdust which is a low-cost biosorbent. The influences of physical and chemical parameters such as pH value, reaction time and temperature and the initial concentration of metallic ion on the adsorption process were investigated by batch adsorption. When the pH value 6, reaction temperature 323K, dosage of sawdust 6g/L, the adsorption removal of chromium ion in solution achieve the maximum. The results showed that sorption processes followed Langmuir isothermal patterns. The adsorption thermodynamics indicated this adsorption process was spontaneous endothermic reaction. The adsorption kinetics model of Cr(Ⅵ) on sawdust accorded with the pseudo second- order kinetics equation better.
