It is found tha...Stochastic resonance (SR) in a bistable system is investigated in the presence of a stochastic potential. The signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) is calculated by using the two-state approach. It is found that there exist transitions in SNR from one peak to two peaks, then to one peak again and finally to no peak on increasing the intensity of the stochastic potential. An optimal stochastic potential may induce a doubly stochastic resonance (DSR). When the intensity of the stochastic potential is too large, the effect of the double well diminishes and the SR phenomenon disappears.Read More
