Title: Development of Flexible Optimum Process Planning Procedures
Abstract: A great deal of flexibility is necessary to realize an economic production. Flexibility can be introduced at the production planning stages, or/and by dynamic process planning. Dynamic process planning contribution to flexibility is significant, yet it is seldom used due to lack of proper procedures to achieve it. This paper shall show how the concept of - Absolute Theoretical Optimum Process Planning - is used to generate dynamically a practical process plan. Moreover, the same concept can be applied to review and adjust previous process plans whenever new facilities are installed.
