Title: A review of the contribution of Operational Research to Project Management
Abstract: Project Management is a professional domain receiving growing attention during the last decades and now it is considered a key concept by Management Sciences to understand and to develop organizations. Operational Research has given essential scientific contributions to the success of Project Management not just through multiple models to understand and to represent projects but also by the development of algorithms and aids to support the decisional role of project manager. In this paper, the major contributions of OR are presented and discussed.
