Title: Effective Thickness of Ni–Sm-Doped Ceria Cermet Anode for Solid Oxide Fuel Cell
Abstract: The effective thickness or the active thickness of -doped ceria cermet anode was investigated by measuring the performance of cells with different anode thickness. The performance of the solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) increased by increasing the anode thickness. The power density increased as the thickness increased and showed a maximum of at for anode. This large effective thickness of the electrode was most likely achieved due to the high sintering temperature. Although this structure may not be typical, it indicates an alternative method for the improvement of the anodic performance of SOFCs.
