Abstract: Abstract National income and the derivatives of this indicator are attracting more and more attention in economic theory and practice. In planning they are becoming a definitive indicator of economic growth and development. Therefore, in the light of the decisions of the Twenty-fifth Congress of the CPSU, the content and correct measurement of national income and the problem of ascertaining the structure and proportionality of its individual parts in the course of economic development are highly relevant to the development and improvement of national economic planning, to the management of the socialist economic system, and to the system of economic relationships between various parts of the national economy.
