Abstract: Quantitative Sensory Testing (QST) embraces a number of methods used to quantify sensory nerve function. QST utilizes noninvasive assessment and quantification of sensory nerve function in patients with suspected neurological damage or disease. The assessment of normal and non normal responses to various stimuli provides information about the functioning of the peripheral and central nervous system. External stimuli employed are usually mechanical, thermal or electrical. Years of research and development of new tools have improved the benefit gained from such tests.
