O. Abstract We examine the gravitational deflection circles of light for a slowly rotating spherical astrophysical object. The deflection circles may be elliptical with eccentricity measuring the transverse component of the object's angular momentum. We also consider additional deflections due to the introduction of a corotating refractive shell. From our analysis, we suggest that in certain cases, both ellipticity and small differential polarization may be observable in gravitational arcs.
