Title: The client's role in the HSE management of geophysical operations
Abstract: Exxon Exploration Company (EEC), as the client, works with its contractors to lower the risk of HSE incidents during the acquisition of geophysical data. EEC uses a structured process that consists of written management systems containing standard checklists and reference guides to ensure that specific key action steps are completed during each project. The key action items or activities required by the structured process are described for the four main project phases: Pre-Bid, Pre-Survey, Survey and Post-Survey. The use of a structured management process by the client will reduce HSE incidents.
