Title: An infrared Study of Pyridine-Pyridine and Pyridine-H2O Interactions by the Matrix Isolation Method
Abstract: Abstract The infrared spectrum of matrix isolated pyridine and pyridine‐d 5 is studied in noble gas matrices. A number of vibration band splittings is observed, most of which have not yet been reported in literature. The splittings are found to be caused by two types of association, a pyridine‐pyridine one and a pyridine‐H 2 O complex. Information concerning the structure of the associated systems is obtained from a careful analysis of the experimental results.
