Title: Coincidence summing corrections in Ge(Li)-spectrometry at low source-to-detector distances
Abstract: Coincidence summing effects play an important role in Ge(Li)-spectrometry at low source-to-detector distances. For 60Co, 88Y and 152Eu correction factors for two “close” geometries frequently encountered in surveillance and waste control measurements are determined experimentally. Moreover the correction factors are calculated for the same geometries for the most abundant lines of 18 radionuclides. Correction factors vary between 1.0 and 1.5 dependent on the particular decay scheme.
