Title: Comparative study on five isolates of Colletotrichum gloeosporioides causing guava anthracnose in Egypt and its control
Abstract: Five isolations of Colletotrichum gloeosporioides were tested for their ability to grow on potato dextrose agar, Czapek's yeast agar and guava decoction agar. Growth, sporulation and spore sizes exhibited some variations amongst these isolations. Enzymatic activity of these isolates was significantly different, as well as their sensitivity towards two fungicides. Some fungi isolated from guava fruit surface could inhibit the growth of C. gloeosporioides.
