Title: Electrochemical synthesis and characterisation of polyaniline in TiO2nanotubes
Abstract: The authors have developed a route to deposit polyaniline within nanotubes of TiO2 film by a sequence of several electrochemical steps. This result has been achieved by anodic pretreatment of anatase TiO2 film in the acidic solution containing aniline and a subsequent potential cycling in an aqueous solution of HClO4 with aniline. Scanning electron microscopy, Raman spectroscopy and cyclic voltammetry were employed to determine the deposition and properties of the TiO2 nanotube/polyaniline composite. The Raman spectra indicate that the polymer is in the conducting emeraldine salt form.
