Title: FROM QUASICRYSTALS TO CRYSTALS: AN ILLUSTRATIVE EXAMPLE
Abstract: Non-periodic quasicrystal models with an atomic density stable on several cells result from the dualization method. For a two-cell quasicrystal model on the line, the restriction to a rational slope is explored. The quasicrystal becomes a periodic crystal as expected. In the two-cell model, the periodic crystal cell displays a finer subdivision into a sequence of cells from the quasicrystal model. This property is apparent in the Fourier transform of the atomic density.
