Tillage depths of up to 180 mm were achieved using a modified rotary tiller making it possible to plant in moist soil that would normally be below the working depth of currently available seeding equipment. Grain yields compared favorably with those obtained using the conventional bare fallow and stubble mulch tillage systems each of which involved four times as many field operations during the two-year crop cycle.Read More
