Title: Enthalpy of formation of dicyclopentadienyltungsten dichloride by rotating-bomb calorimetry
Abstract: The standard (po = 101.325 kPa) molar enthalpy of combustion in oxygen at 298.15 K of crystalline dicyclopentadienyltungsten dichloride was measured using rotating-bomb calorimetry: −ΔcHmo(cr)/(kJ·mol−1 = (6190.8 ± 7.5). The derived standard molar enthalpy of formation: ΔfHmo“W(η5-C5H5)2Cl2, cr’/(kJ·mol−1) = −(63.5 ± 7.7), is of key importance in determination of enthalpies of formation of other dicyclopentadienyltungsten derivatives by reaction calorimetry.
