The treatments selected for evaluation included continuous maize/corn with fertilization (CC-F) and continuous maize/corn without fertilization (CC-NF) treatments. The results showed that the DSSAT model could simulate yield of CC-F more precisely than that of CC-NF. The simulated cumulative nitrate loss from CC-F treatment from 1998 to 2000 was consistent with the actual measured value.
