Title: DECLINING REVENUES AND INCREASING ENROLLMENTS: STRATEGIES FOR COPING
Abstract: The results of a national survey found declining state support and increasing enrollment common in community colleges. The decline in state funding has prompted institutions to seek more funding from local sources and to increase tuition. Respondents in this study indicated they are attempting to avoid enrollment limitations, but also identify coping strategies that effectively restrict access to students. One might infer from data reported here that continued enrollment growth may be adversely affected.
