Title: Coal mining and rural livelihoods: case of the Ib valley coalfield, Orissa.
Abstract: An earlier version of this paper was presented at the conference on “Managing the Social and Environmental Consequences of Coal Mining in India”, organised by the Indian School of Mines University in asso ciation with University of New South Wales and the Australian National University at the India International Centre, New Delhi on 1921 Novem ber 2007.
