Title: Roles of Creative Economy for Community and Social Development in Thailand
Abstract: This paper is aimed to study roles of creative economy in the aspect of social and community development. Analyses are conducted on 2 bases, which are area-base and product-base. Two cases of the study are Amphawa Floating Market and ChaophayaAbhibhubejhr Foundation. Findings show that the most important key factor in applying creative economy in social and community development is the process and method in identifying “internal capitals” of the community and locals those already exist and have potential to be newly created and added value. These capitals will be “identities” as well as self-reflection of the community and locals which are crucial factors to the success of sustainable social and community development.
