Abstract: The labor mobility is a kind of individual problem being related to wage, social and economic status, job, and residence. In youth class, the choice of labor market is important for individual career, mobility, and job. The purpose of this paper is to know the effect of labor spatial mobility and education in entering labor market of youth. In this study the Korea Youth Panel 2001 is used to search the labor mobility and other variables. We estimate the returns of mobility and education using the Micerian wage model and OLS method. The effect of labor spatial mobility to wage is -0.259. and the education is 0.039. But the effect of education is 0.059 in labor spatial mobility. It is explained of the characteristics of youth labor maket and the compensation structure between labor mobility and wage. In the interaction effect between the choice of labor market and the year of education, the returns of wage is high if the labor mobility is existed. It means that the higher competency person has the characteristics to move labor market for high rewards. It has two implications in regional planning. The first is the needs of incentives to attract young employment. The second is to promote the employment information between workers and firms.
