Title: Frecuencia de patología pulpar en la clínica hospital de petróleos mexicanos Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz
Abstract: The purpose of this study was to determine the frequency of the pulp pathologies, the dental organ frequentlyinvolved, and to determine the main reason for consultation in endodontic services in patients of the hospitalclinic of Petroleos Mexicanos Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz.There were 266 cases of patients who went to see forendodontic treatment, 53% (n= 141) were females and47% (n= 125) were male. Pulp pathology that was introduced with greater frequency was irreversible pulpitiswith 46.61 % (n= 124), followed by apical periodontitis 34.58 % (n=92), pulp necrosis 9.77 % (n= 26), 6.39% (n= 17) of periapical abscess with fistula, and 2.63 %(n= 7) with periapical abscess without fistula, the dentalorgan frequently involved in treatment of ducts were:The lower first molars with 19.92 % (n= 53). The mostfrequent pulp pathology was irreversible pulpitis andthe main reason for consulting the dental service wasfor acute pain.
