Title: PSORIASIS VULGARIS: RESPONSE OF SYSTEMIC THERAPY METHOTREXATE
Abstract: ABSTRACT Psoriasis is a chronic and relapsing disease of the skin, affecting nails and joints in which genetic and environmental factors play a key role. The most characteristic lesion on the skin consist of erythematous, scaly, indurated plaques, mainly present over extensor surfaces and scalp, with 1-2% prevalence in general population. There are three types of psoriasis: mild, moderate and severe. For management of psoriasis, a spectrum of drug treatment pharma-cological and non pharmacological therapy is very essential to improve the high quality life of the patient. The recommended therapy for severe psoriasis is a systemic therapy and methotrexate isfirst line therapy for severe psoriasis. It was reported a case of psoriasis vulgaris in a woman 42 years.
