Title: Management in education and improving the system of education
Abstract: Education as a process of acquiring knowledge and being educated as the result of such a process have become one of key elements in the strategies of development in many countries. Together with accepting and spreading the awareness that knowledge becomes one of the most important if not the most important resource of development and that the development of this resource depends on the development of the system of education, with the respective organization and educative contents, these issues become the subject of management, that is, their solving calls for their controlling not only on the national plan, but within regional and international organizations as well. Management in education (or educational management), however, cannot be built up just by simple transfer of principles, methods and means of management from the economic sphere of life whose aim is to increase the efficiency of work expressed in the increase in income. On the contrary, we should form principles end methods of management in education which would be based upon the specific features of education as a social process and the aim of that management that the increase in the efficiency of work should result in the increase of knowledge as a component of a developed, or a more developed free and creative personality. In such an approach to building up management in education we should work on the selection of methods and means of management as a way to manage on the global, regional or national plan always having in mind the specific features of organization and existence of these forms of social life of people.
