Title: Implementing The “Standards”: Number Representations and Relationships
Abstract: Using numbers meaningfully and flexibly is addressed in three of the NCTM's curriculum standards for K–4 and 5–8 mathematics (NCTM 1989, 38, 87, 9 1). The intent in this article is to give activities that are in the spirit of the Curriculum and Evaluation Standards and involve number relationships and representations of numbers.
