Title: Optimal Engine Selection for Ground Support Equipment
Abstract: Abstract : This program was initiated for the purpose of evaluating new engines and engine concepts for application as prime movers in aircraft ground support equipment. Initially it was also considered that a select group of engines might be chosen to reduce the proliferation of models, types, and spare parts required to support current Naval ground support equipment. However, after more than three years of study, it is apparent that this goal has become untenable. As a result the program has been terminated and this final report includes a technology update from the preceding progress report, NAEC-GSED-66, June 1973, and design engineering data on current production engines.
