Title: An integration model for the virtual enterprise
Abstract: Global competition of enterprises leads to the creation of a new business model to include new business challenges: agility, core competencies and processes, linkage of best-inbreed capabilities, scalable across geographies and interoperabilitity of infrastructure and application portfolios. In order to present these complex and interactive environments, Moor proposes the evolution theory of a business ecosystem that views enterprise as part of a business ecosystem that crosses a variety of industries, including resources, capital, partners, suppliers and customers. Today this concept is creating a new enterprise business model. Enterprise models have been evolved from a vertically integrated enterprise model to conglomerated enterprise models, to right-sized enterprise models, and recently to virtually integrated enterprise models by its competencies and agility. This paper focuses on this virtually integrated enterprise model, the virtual enterprise model, which indicates ecology of virtual capabilities and has high core competencies and high agility.
