A smaller group of 47 nurses were used for comparison purposes. Intimacy behaviour and the expectation of peer behaviour during 4 levels of dating were investigated: first date, several dates, going steady and consideration of a permanent relationship. The results showed significant differences between the sexual behaviour of the 2 groups but an amazing similarity between the expectations of peer behaviour.
