Title: Behavior and Mind: The Roots of Modern Psychology
Abstract: This text attempts a synthesis of two apparently contradictory views of psychology: psychology as the science of internal mechanisms; and psychology as the science of complex external behaviour (referred to by the author as mental life). Although many monographs on psychology or the philosophy of mind reject either one approach or the other (usually the behaviouristic approach), the author of this study argues that the two approaches are complementary, not contradictory.
