Title: The Power of Pedagogy: Routines, School Literacy Practices and Outcomes
Abstract: The authors use excerpts from Grade 2 transcripts of teacher/student talk to describe literacy learning interaction that bears directly on contemporary critical perspectives of literacy practices. From their analyses of these interactions they draw some interesting conclusions about literacy practices and provide practical and accessible recommendations for change.
