Abstract: The Argonne Energy Models (AEMS) for Portugal and Korea were constructed to analyze the economic impacts of various conditions and policies that could alter the energy-sector outlook in Portugal and Korea. Some preliminary conclusions from this energy-modeling exercise for Portugal are presented. Individual sections provide a brief description of the model methodology; a discussion of key data inputs to the model; an analysis of reference case results, a comparison of other economic growth, energy price, and government policy cases; and a summary.
