Title: Gravitational and scalar field interacting through torsion
Abstract: The interaction between the gravitation and scalar field, that includes torsion, is formulated in a general space-time and the corresponding field equations determined. The scalar field results to satisfy the usual scalarfield equation with however a value of the mass redefined by the presence of torsion. The equations are explicited in the Robertson-Walker space-time. Consistency of the equations implies that the scalar field can depend only on time and that the scalar-field equation is not independent of the Einstein field equation. The scheme is solved in case of massless scalar field, in the slow-roll approximation and in some limiting situations.
