{'がん化学療法で用いられる抗がん薬のうち,タキサン系,ビンカアルカロイド系抗がん薬や白金製剤などは,副作用として高率に末梢神経障害を誘発するが,現在のところ,有効な予防法や対応法は確立されておらず,がん化学療法の用量規定因子ともなっている.特に,白金製剤オキサリプラチンは他の抗がん薬と異なり,投与直後から数日以内に投与された患者ほぼ全例において,寒冷被曝で誘発,増強される四肢・口周囲のしびれ,感覚異常,また,まれに咽頭・喉頭の締め付け感,感覚異常による呼吸困難や嚥下困難など,特徴的な急性末梢神経障害を誘発することが知られており,臨床現場ではその対応に苦渋している.著者らは,オキサリプラチンによる急性末梢神経障害が寒冷被曝と関連するという特徴に着目し,温度感受性transient':
