Abstract: This chapter discusses the broad topic of pesticide residues in food supply. Attention is given to pesticide use patterns and regulation (international and United States) of pesticides. Pesticide residue data are provided from a variety of monitoring programs, and the potential risks posed by pesticide residues are discussed. Consideration is given to the special topics of pesticides in imported foods and pesticides in organic foods.
