Abstract: Sexual disorders, especially dyspareunia, are frequent endometriosis-related symptoms, which may lead to difficulties in partnership as well as a reduced general well-being. As sexual issues are not generally dealt with by either generalists or gynecologists, adequate medical support is hampered. While pain-related disorders cannot be cured in all women, sexual satisfaction is a more realistic aim. Therefore, sexual counseling/therapy should be offered to any woman/couple suffering from endometriosis-associated sexual problems.
