Title: Ventilatory Acclimatization in Women to High Altitude
Abstract: Abstract : The purpose of this study was to test the hypotheses that women ascending to high altitude in their early luteal phase will have higher resting ventilations and accelerated ventilatory acclimatization compared to women in their follicular phase. Furthermore, given the proportionally greater ventilation in women compared to men, we postulated that women will have higher resting ventilations and accelerated ventilatory, acclimatization compared to men at the same altitude.
