Description: The authors study the Local Group of Galaxies approximating it as a binary galaxy (Milky Way and Andromeda Nebula). They find that inside 100 kpc from the Milky‐Way centre the influence of the Andromeda Nebula is very weak and that for the satellites of the Milky Way, even for the outer ones, perigalactic distances of about 30–40 kpc are likely.
