Title: The virtual firefly: a research tool for biologists
Abstract: Fireflies communicate using a series for precisely timed pulses to identify potential mates. Each species has a unique pattern of communication. Biologists at our college are actively investigating various aspects of this communication pattern. Their research requires a device to proxy for an actual firefly in a meaningful way. Our project involved creating a Virtual Firefly to fill this need.
