E. Smith). Food consumption was 24% lower on stages 1-2 than on stages 3-4 and decreased as temperature increased from 21@* to 30@*C. Adult female longevity was shortest for stages 3-4 and declined with increasing temperature. Fecundity was greatest at 21@* and 25@* and declined at 30@*C. Pre-oviposition period (4.5 days) and egg viability (92%) were unaffected by temperature and corn stage.
