Abstract: ABSTRACT The Program Evaluation Grid is a tool to assist organizations in planning and systematically evaluating programs. Programs are rated on 24 individual factors within five overarching value areas: strategic, effectiveness/quality, financial, program importance to key stakeholders, and marketing. The resulting rank ordering of programs is useful for key decision-making processes such as budgeting and program reduction or elimination, and stimulating dialogue about relative strengths and challenges of programs and agency-wide trends or patterns. Plans can be developed to address the lowest-ranked programs, expand, publicize, or enhance the highest-ranked programs, and implement broader strategies to strengthen the agency overall.
