Title: Effect of Interaction of Glomus fasciculatum and Meloidogyne incognita on Growth of Brinjal
Abstract: The interaction between Glomus fasciculatum with Meloidogyne incognita on brinjal indicated that mycorrhizal plants had higher plant growth parameters than non-mycorrihizal and nematode inoculated plants. Plants with VAM at higher dose (600 spores/plant) 10 days prior to nematode had significantly increased plant growth parameters of brinjal. This also resulted in reduced nematode population in soil. The treatment with VAM @600 spores + nematode after 10 days, was found to be the best in reducing galls, egg masses and nematode population in soil.
